A large mirror was given to my mother about 30 years ago from a friend who had, some years before, purchased it at an antique store. You can see the mirror at: http://www.geocities.com/sanichols2000/temporarypreviewfile.html At the bottom of the frame - where broken chains are featured - it has inscribed: "Proclamation of Emancipation" and "A. Lincoln" - carved to actually mirror Lincoln's signature. At the top of the mirror is inscribed, "Constitution." I doubt that this mirror dates to the Civil war, but I am interested in its history and if it has any value. Any information about the history of the piece or very similar pieces will be welcome. Thanks. | |

At geocities, if "too many" people try to view your site, it will be temporarily shut down for a few hours. Researchers are not allowed to have email contact with clients, unfortunately. |
