Searching through photographs of Sean Connery is not a painful chore!
But there's not a lot to add to robertskelton's results -- a few more
pictures, but none very clear:

Note that Connery's age is relevant because shirtless shots of
celebrities were much less common in previous decades, and tattoos
were not as socially
acceptable in the English-speaking world -- they denoted a sailor or a
working-class person, generally. You can see that in these posters
his forearm tattoo has been covered up or air-brushed out:

In short, everyone talks about the tattoos, but no one seems to want
to show them up-close!

"At sixteen, he enlisted in the Royal Navy. Like many young men in the
Navy, he opted for a tattoo. However, unlike many tattoos, his
were not frivolous - his tattoos reflect two of his lifelong
commitments: his family and Scotland. After six decades, his
tattoos still reflect those two ideas: One tattoo is a tribute to his
parents and reads 'Mum and Dad,' and the other is self
explanatory, 'Scotland Forever.' "

"Dad". It seemed a good thing at the time - but that was many years
ago.' - Sean Connery" |
