I would like the name and author of this poem, and the rest of the lines of this poem. It was used on a bookmark to promote reading, printed by the (I think) American Library Association probably in the 70's... it starts out, "Books, I think, are extra nice, Through books you live, not once, but twice. You are yourself and you are things with fur or fins or shells or wings..." |

Here's a slight variation on the poem, with the words "very nice" instead of "extra nice". Unfortunately, this person doesn't know the source either.
