Hello,

I've found a magazine called WLS Prairie Farmer's Weekly Magazine
which was published in the 30's, but the subject matter deals with a
Chicago based radio station. Please tell me if this is what you're
looking for, and if so I'll post my answer. Thanks.

Hey there macj:

I've found Farmer's Weekly Magazine's website, and tried to put a call
through to them, but calling from California, I think I hit them a bit
late in the day. I posted them an e-mail, however, asking for
archival information.

I also came on some interesting information from a library in
Malaysia, (of all places...); it could have been a simple mistake, but
their collectioin listed Farmer's Magazine as having been titled
"Power Farming" previous to 1952. Could this have been the title of
the magazine in the 1930's?

After having scrolled down and seen rainbow's post in the comment
section, I only have this to add, posted to me from Farmer's Weekly:

"Unfortunately, we do not have spare issues of Farmers Weekly in our
archives. The Museum of Rural Life, part of Reading University, keeps
back
issues of our magazine - 0118 931 8666 - Dr Jonathan Brown - but
again, I do
not think they have spare issues. Quite often we have readers who
contact
us because they are trying to sell old issues. You could, therefore,
put an
ad on our site - or mention something in the Talking Point section of
the
site. www.fwi.co.uk"

Wish I had been more help.

Power Farming is or was a different magazine to Farmers Weekly. But I
believe they were printed by the same publisher.

WLS Prairie Farmers Weekly Magazine is not the magazine I'm afraid.

Hi macj,

I suggest you try here:

Phenotype Books: Dealing in All Books Agricultural:

Tel: +44 (0)1768 863049 Fax: +44 (0)1768 890493
email: phenobooks@btinternet.com

I checked and unfortunately they don't have any issues of the Farmers
Weekly now, but they do maintain a "Want List" and will notify you
when they get some in if you leave your email address with them.

Hope this helps,
hummer

Hi macj,

While searching for a way to get these copies, I emailed "Farmer's
Weekly Interactive" and asked how one could go about getting these
older issues of their magazine. This is the reply I just received:
"We only have our file copies of those issues. The best alternative
would be to place an advert in Farmers Weekly or on the Farmers Weekly
website, http://www.fwi.co.uk "

I wish I could have done more in helping you.
Best regards,
rainbow~
