Can you give me a time line (mid-century to present) of architects
that epitomized in their structures (commercial and residential) the
notion of glamour? Mies van der roche's Barcelona Pavillion (circa
1929)is a good example of a structure that was/is glamourous.

Hi! Thanks for the question.

I have found you two sets of timelines in architectural history, one
for the world and another for the US. The lists are arranged
alphabetically by name of structure but the corresponding dates are
indicated as well. If you want a profile of the structure just click
on the name of the building.

World Architecture:

“Architecture of the World - Twentieth Century, from 1950 to 1979”

“Architecture of the World - Twentieth Century, from 1980 to 2000”
http://www.greatbuildings.com/types/dates/1980_to_2000.html

In case you would still need a reference to the example you pointed
out, The Mies van der roche's Barcelona Pavillion, it is included in
the list for 1900 – 1949.

“Architecture of the World - Twentieth Century, from 1900 to 1949”

It is also profiled in the following link:

Our next lists meanwhile shall pertain to American Architecture. Again
the list is arranged alphabetically by structure name.

“American Architecture - Twentieth Century - 1950 to 1959”

“American Architecture - Twentieth Century - 1960 to 1969”
http://www.greatbuildings.com/types/usa/usa_1960-1969.html

“American Architecture - Twentieth Century - 1970 to 1979”
http://www.greatbuildings.com/types/usa/usa_1970-1979.html

“American Architecture - Twentieth Century - 1980 to 1989”
