I hunt in Wascott, Wisconsin. The land that I hunt on has a building
on it that was previously (probably a little more than 100 years ago)
used as a vacation lodge. It is a large log cabin. The name of it is
"Buckley Creek Lodge." I have been searching for information on this
place, but have not been able to find anything. I would like to know
any information about the building (ex. when it was built, who built
it, previous owners and any pictures of it such as during
construction, while it was still used as a lodge, etc...)

Can you tell us where in Wascott the land is located?

I found an aerial photo of the location of the lodge, if it helps at
all:

http://terraserver.homeadvisor.msn.com/image.aspx?t=1&s=10&x=2877&y=25583&z=15&w=2

In the picture, you can see a big open space, to the upper left, there
is a dark clump, that s the garage. then if you look above that clump
and to the right a little bit, you can kind of see the lodge, (it's
about an inch long.)So hopefully this may help you a little bit! And,
I recently found out that two of the previous owners last names were:
"Veile and Schipper." I'm not positive that they are spelt correctly.
I also found out that one of those two people were in a family that
built cars for many years. I hope that some of this information will
help in finding some information.

When I could find no results of a Buckley Creek Lodge in Wascott, I
began to theorize that maybe Wascott hasn’t been around for long.
Since I couldn’t seem to find an official founding date, only that I
didn’t see any references to Wascott prior to 1948, I looked at old
maps. There doesn’t seem to be anything on the maps for Wascott around
100 years ago, at least according to the maps I looked at.

Unfortunately there wasn’t any mention of a Buckley Creek, either.
There were a couple of sort of close names, like Bluff Creek, but
that’s all.

Finally, a mention of Buckley Creek!
A state natural area.

Here’s a map that actually shows Buckley Creek joining the St. Croix
River.

Buckley Creek can also be seen on this official map:

And another:

Could be related:

There’s a lot of references to early families in Wisconsin named
Buckley, as well as stuff like:
“Buckley's Bridge and Mill
Cty. Hwy. M, Juneau County
Where Buckley's Bridge carries County Highway M over the Lemonweir
River, is the site of Buckley's Mill, built in 1850 by the first
settler of Clearfield Township. The stone foundations of the mill can
still be seen at the river's edge, and is best viewed from a canoe.”

I’m afraid I’m beat for now, but I’m really annoyed at not finding an
answer, and will check back later on this.

Side Notes:
There is a Douglas County in Wisconsin, Washington, Nebraska, Georgia,
Nevada, Colorado, Oregon, Kansas, Minnesota, and Illinois! Popular
name!
There are references to “Buckley Creek” in Wisconsin, Michigan, Texas,
Colorado, Nebraska, Oregon, British Columbia, and Victoria Australia.
Another popular name.
