My vehicle recently was covered by a "silent or hidden warrantee" that
only became known to me through continued pressure on the dealer about
an obvious deficiency. The problem was rectified free of charge. Where
can I find examples and a listing of current unadvertised warrantees?

Good evening Brudenell,

My search returned the following results for places to find examples
and listings of unadvertised warranties:

The Center for Auto Safety

The Center for Auto Safety (CAS) provides information on common
problems and advice on how to resolve them for most models on the
road.

“This information comes in consumer information packages by make and
model which are designed to empower consumers to take on the most
resistant manufacturers and get vehicles fixed for free or replaced.”

You may search online for the make and model of your car here:

A good place to get information about hidden car warranties is from
Lemon-aid.

“Few car owners know secret car warranties exist. Carmakers are
reluctant to make these free repair programs public because they feel
it would weaken confidence in their product and increase their legal
liability. Most motorists who get compensated for repairs to blown
engines and burnt transmissions or paint that has turned chalky white
or peeled away, are the ones who read Lemon-Aid each year, produce
automaker service bulletins, and yell the loudest.”

examples can be found here:

It's the only publication that lists hundreds of secret warranties and
service tips now in effect for 1987-2002 cars and minivans. Lemon-Aid
