Hi solar12123:
I would expect that since the Nile river frequently floods that it's
width varies greatly depending on the season. Are you looking for
measurements at "high water" or "low water"?
Thanks.

I can provide you with the widest point as well as the narrowest
point, however, as websearcher states, an average width will be
extremely diffcult due the to flood plains.

It's also not exactly clear what you mean when you say the Nile river.
The Nile is actually two rivers, the Blue Nile and the White Nile,
which join to form the Nile somewhere in Sudan, I think. The widest
part is probably downstream from the confluence, but for the narrowest
and average width, you need to specify which parts of the river you're
looking at.

I am interested in the section betweeen where the rivers join and the
mediteranian. I will accept the just the widest and the narrowest.
