Here are the players that played the most minutes for the Knicks in
that game. I haven't found the offical starting line-up, but I would
be willing to bet it was this 5:
Charles Oakley-42 minutes played
John Starks-42 minutes played
Derek Harper-38 minutes played
Patrick Ewing-44 minutes played
Anthony Mason-31 minutes played

You got the answer tar_heel - I was looking everywhere for that
boxscore.

The first 5 names of a basketball boxscore comprise the starting
lineup. Looking at the link you provided, the Knicks starting lineup
would thus be:
PF Charles Oakley
SF Charles Smith
C Patrick Ewing
PG Derek Harper
SG John Starks

Thanks,
Kevin, M.D.

I just watched this game on NBA TV a few weeks ago. Wished I had taped it!

So, just to clarify, I believe that tar_heel_v has found the correct
information and kevinmd has added the correct interpretation. While
Mason played the fifth most minutes, he was not a starter, according
to this Yahoo! Groups message; rather, Smith was a starter. (I
believe Mason was known as a "sixth man" at the time.) Indeed, it
appears from this page, as well as another page (which goes only to
Game 5), that Smith started all of the games, and that Mason was the
sixth man in each.

But it could also be argued that since this is Game 7 and that the
Knicks at that time was the meanest defensive team, Riley could have
gone with Mason in this all important game. Just a thought. :)
