Yikes! Can I ask you a question, do you want a Yes or No answer or are you looking for names? The first would be somewhat easy to do, and not provide proof, the second might be hazardous to everyone's health. Might want to rethink the question, why you want to know, like: "Has there ever been any incidents linked to the Gambino Organization that occured in St. Louis?" I know this is how I would refer to them just out of respect. $50 is a generous amount, but the question is 'loaded'. |

Also, if I was a researcher, I would hesitate since it is not anonymous. Might try to find places on the net that have information about this segment of businessmen and current associations and locations. |

Now if you had asked about New York, I could get you an answer. But St. Louis...fuhgedaboutit! For what it's worth, though, I did take a look at the archives of the St. Louis Post Dispatch, and the only mention they make of the Gambino family in the St Louis area is all tied to presence of the Federal inmate hospital in Springfield, Mo. and the occassional medical visit by high-profile, incarcerated crime figures (sometimes accompanied by hordes of family members). So, there has been at least a temporary presence in the area, but nothing permanent that showed up in a cursory look. |

Greetings, aveladonna! Having lived in St. Louis for a time, I know that there has in fact been a significant mafia presence there, although I could not find any mention of the Gambino family. http://www.americanmafia.com/Cities/St_Louis.html The Italian section of the city has known some notorious mafia incidents in its past, but let me tell you, there are quite a few excellent restaurants on "The Hill" in St. Louis!
