There was a company in Australia called Fuel Busters. If you spent
more than a certain amount at selected stores you would get a fuel
token. You could then use this token at (I think) Caltex petrol
stations to get cheaper fuel.

I remember seeing a story on Fuel Busters and the two founders on a
current affairs program called Today Tonight.

They have a website at www.fuelbusters.com.au but they don’t seem to
be in business anymore.

Why did Fuel Busters fail?
