which gives details of exactly how to embed URLs in digital media
files so the viewer's default browser will open, and why you would
want to do it.

Microsoft say that by doing this, you provide a more interactive
experience for viewers by directing them to specified websites at the
point in the video you want. I would like to draw your attention to
this from the page:
"You can embed URLs in your digital media files by using Microsoft
Windows Media Advanced Script Indexer. The Advanced Script Indexer is
a tool that enables you to insert and edit scripts within any Windows
Media file. You can insert any number of URLs in a file, but only one
URL can exist at a specified position in the digital media file."
The program is part of Microsoft's Windows Media Resource Kit, which
is available for download (currently in beta stages) in part or in

You may do the full download of the kit, which is 25,302kb, or you may
like to do a custom download and just get the specific components you
are interested in.
