Hello naymdan-ga,

According to Chris in his term paper “Amazon Study” paper, Amazon.com
does not appear to have a mission statement.

“While Amazon does not have a formal mission statement, the basic
mission and goals of the Company are evident in the words of Mr.
Bezos, "We have one strategy at Amazon.com - provide the customer with
the best shopping experience." Additionally, "…our goal is nothing
short of building the world's most customer-centric Company." Lastly,
"our Company mission is to leverage technology and expertise to
provide the best buying experience on the Internet"

“These quotes from Mr. Bezos could be combined to create an effective
mission statement, as follows:”

“The mission of Amazon.com is to leverage technology and the expertise
of our invaluable employees to provide the best buying experience on
the Internet. Our goal is nothing short of building the world's most
customer-centric Company capable of providing our customers with the
best shopping experience online today, and into the future.”

Here is the Mission Statement of the Amazon.com workers:

“According to the new mission statement, workers feel that if their
concerns are not addressed, the quality of service delivered to
customers will decline.

"Quality customer service requires professional well-trained
individuals that have job security, compensation that reflects our
skills and commitment to the company, respect, career development
opportunities, continued education and a voice," the mission statement
reads. "Amazon.com cannot sustain the standard of excellence that it
has attained with anything less than a true commitment to these core
values."

Hi

I wrote to Amazon and Reese Kolsky replied with the following:

"Thank you for writing to us. The following can be found at the end
of all our press releases as well as on our Investor Relations web
site at http://www.amazon.com/ir, although it is not specifically
defined as our mission statement.

"Amazon.com seeks to be the world's most customer-centric company,
where customers can find and discover anything they may want to buy
online at a great price."
