I have seen a lot of drink recipes call for Schweppes Russian, but I have never heard of that and can't seem to find any information about what it actually is or contains. My question is twofold: a) What is Schweppes Russian (and is it different from regular tonic water)? b) How can I obtain some? I live in Seattle. |

Hello jackih-ga, An alternate spelling may be Schweppes Russchian. Take a look at the following links: Rob's Coke Room http://www.angelfire.com/mi2/CokeRoom/aroundtheworld/global/greatbritain.html Sasky.com http://www.sasky.com/saskycom/databases/non_alcoholic/cold/carbonated/mixers.html The British Connection http://www.thebritconnection.com/what.html Googlenut |

Its taste has been described as "bitter peaches". Check the first two search results here: http://groups.google.co.uk/groups?q=russchian+peach+OR+peaches&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&btnG=Google+Search While ordering my groceries (in the UK) I found that Russchian is not included with the tonic waters, but listed under 'other mixers'. http://www.tesco.com/superstore/ Hope this helps!
