Could an answerer who is able to hear the midi piece, try to find the
original title and composer of this piece ? I want to know the
answer, rather than links to follow that might contain the answer.
Answer
There is no answer at this time.

I did a search for both "10806" (Bytes) and "10.5" (KB) combined with
"midi" and "mid". Some files that turned up were the exact same songs
as your "unknown.mid", and at times they were called "weird.mid",
"ltlgirl.mid", and "ltlgirl_c.mid" (at least two files for each of
those names could be found on unrelated sites).
No further information on the creator or song title turned up (not on
the web sites, not in the midi-file information itself), neither did
an alternate version.

But good luck, to you and other researchers!

This sounds like Danny Elfman to me--the first thing that came to my
mind was Edward Scissorhands. I wasn't able to find the exact track
though. Good luck!

The theme in this piece reminds me a lot of Francis Lai's "Bilitis"
soundtrack (or maybe it was the "Emmanuelle" soundtrack). I have
Bilitis on vinyl, so I'll have to check it out..

What an interesting piece!

Funny you say that Thisuser, my first reaction was Nightmare Before
Christmas. I don't have the time this morning to go through all
these, but here's a Danny Elfman site with clips from all his movie
scores -- maybe another researcher can go through them for sire-ga.

A certain Kyle Shank seems to have composed this piece

checkout - http://www.oddweb.com/junj/midi/junk/junk.htm
Scroll down to "Original Composed Files"
theres only one listed - Kyle Shank's weird

maybe you can email Joshua, the guy whom this webby belongs to (
gardner3@acsu.buffalo.edu ). Do tell us if he responds with some info
:)

The best place to search for midis is vanbasco.com
a search here gave some 10 results (do take a look, it could lead you
to the origin) - http://www.vanbasco.com/search.html?fileid=252801&q=ltlgirl&lyrics=&resultsperpage=50

a search for "kyle shank" on google did not help much, although maybe
you can ask shanksoft@hotmail.com if he's the composer by any chance
(his name's kyle shank). google/bigfoot people search etc can lead you
to more kyle shanks, so good luc with it :)

i also tried filearch.ru and altavistas filesearch, which returned
links to more midis but not much info

by the way, it really does sound a lot like edward scissorhands =)

I followed up on the "little girl" reference, and believe that it MAY
be from a Sony Playstation game entitled Mitsumete Knight, and known
as "Priscilla's theme". It's as close as I could get. If anyone can
find the soundtrack to this game and verify, go for it.

I followed the "Little Girl" reference and I believe that it comes
from an anime series known as "Kimagure Orange Road." Go to the
following web site and listen to the music for that series and decide
for yourself.

I have sent emails to all of the websites listed above that have the
midi piece on it. Hold tight and I will have your answer in 2 days.
The last comment about the midi coming from the anime series: I
listened to all of them, and none were the same sound. Some likeness,
i agree, but wrong instruments and tune.
