Hi Tomek, thanks for use Google Answers.

Actually, for formal science, there isnīt a proof that Vilcacora or
Una de Gato (Uncaria tomentosa) is a cancer cure.
There are several works of investigation related to Vilcacora that
expose the properties of this plant. It has antiviral and
immunomodulating properties and these are the best known properties.
But in the last years some researchers found antitumor, mutagenic and
antimutagenic properties such that are related close to cancer
treatment.
You can see:
Clinical References on Cat's Claw (Uncaria tomentosa)

http://www.rain-tree.com/clinic/clinicu.htm#U8

Inside this page the most interesting article is:

-Induction of apoptosis and inhibition of proliferation in human tumor
cells treated with extracts of Uncaria tomentosa.
(For your clarification Apopsis is also called Programmed Cell Death,
in biology, a mechanism that allows cells to self-destruct when
stimulated by the appropriate trigger. Apoptosis is initiated for
various reasons, such as when a cell is no longer needed within the
body or when it becomes a threat to the health of the organism).

These investigations are recently and havenīt a complete definition
about if the plant cures cancer.
But a lot of Alternative Medicine sites takes this preliminary
discoveries as a complete conclusion. I think this is a little
dangerous for health.

Formal Medicine has no proof but Alternative Medicine has several
cases to show, it is at least strange.

You can see for Alternative Medicine sources:

UŅA DE GATO Uncaria tomentosa Will D.C. in Czech the Cat’s claw known
as well as Vilcacora

(This link has some explanations and show cases).

Thanks for doing a research. i was looking for a proof and your answer
only said there wasn't any. I still think you deserve the money for
doing research, but I would suggest you always aks first for
clarification before jumping to an answer.
