I am looking for the artist and title of the new song on the very
recent mitsubishi montero commercials. I have searched several sites
and they all have the songs from the eclipse commercials and older
mitsubishi commercials.

Are you positive that the commercial is for the Montero and not a
different Mitisubishi SUV? Can you describe the commercial that you

Clarification of Question by shmack-ga on 15 Apr 2003 13:13 PDT
you know what, it may have been a different mitsubishi SUV. the
commercial has been playing the last week or two that I've seen. all i
remember is a woman kind of smiling as the SUV passes the camera but
that seems to be a kind of theme in a lot of their commercials. its
not any of the songs from the mid 2002 commercials. from what i
remember it had a strong beat and a lot of bass. does that help?

The name of the song is "Horndog," by Overseer.

When you said that the commercial might have been a Mitsubishi vehicle
other than the Montero, I guessed that you were remembering a recent
ad for the Mitsubishi Endeavor.

I went to the Music Room Forum, a discussion group that often has
useful information about songs in commercials, and there I learned
that the song in the Endeavor ad was "Horndog":

"RE: Anyone know the name of the song on the Mitsubushi Endeavor comm?

at 23:02

"Breathe" is used in the Outlander commercial. "Horndog" by Overseer
is used for the Endeavor."

Post from Music Room Forum

To verify this, I searched newsgroups:

Google Groups Search: "song" + "mitsubishi endeavor"

This led to a post which also identified the Endeavor song as

">alright the newest mitshbishi commercial for 03 endeavor, its of a
 >camera in the first floor window of a building in a city and i see
 >car drive by and all these ppl stop and look at it. im wondering
 >is the name or the song that is playing during the whole thing.

Overseer / Horndog. We got a free CD of it at the Atlanta
Endeavor/Evolution Launch. They also have a lot of music by Dirty
Vegas, some of it is really good (Ghosts comes to mind)."

Post from newsgroup

The brief clip which I posted earlier was downloaded from Kazaa. If
you would like to own the complete song on CD, it will be available on
Overseer's new album, "Wreckage," which will be in stores June 3, 2003
(after the animation ends on this site, there is information about
joining Overseer's email list):

I'm glad we found your song!
