1. Looking for the best name/s for a beach cafe, right on the water (300 m2), in an area frequented by funky locals, business people, families and tourists alike. The area's eclictic atmospher is buzzing in summer, yet slow in winter. The cafe will offer speciality coffees (Espressos, Arabic, Syphoned, Plungers ... etc), fine French patisserie, light meals, gourmet salads, sandwiches and new age non-alcoholic drinks. It will house a book/authors corner and host TV nights. The decore has an easy, simple yet modern feel to it. What's in a name? all the above. Modern, Classy, Quality, Relax & Comfort with a hint of French. 2.Can you point to web resources for similar exercises or for anything that may help in defining the offerring? Good Luck. |

I am quite disappointed with the answer's quality. Although the researcher used sound strategies like picking clues from my submitted brief, linguistic approach and logical access to some limited web resources, yet it is clear that it was done in hast, in a lets-get-it-out-of-the-way manner. No innovation is evident in coming up with 'smart' names or in coming up with web links of real value. My posted fee of $20 may have been on the lower side, yet what I got isn't worth much. Can't recommend the service as it stands. EF2003 |

Yes ef2003 I can understand how it may seem that way way to you and hence your seemingly justified comments but what you are not aware of is that many hard working researchers have gone to work on questions just like yours over last couple of months, heaps of similar questions in fact for business names, with not one questioner actually agreeing to pay any one researcher. In other words some extremely well researched and very comprehensive replies have gone back to people like yourself in regards business name and business catchprases that would have likely cost a huge amount via a business consultanacy but not a dollar back to any single researcher from any questioner. Check out some exmples yourself. Conseqeuntly most reaserachers have given up and either avoid such qusetions or make a quick response in the knowledge that questioner is not "fair dinkum" as we say in Australia and is really after a lot of good material for zero cost. For instance type in Lawnmower and see what one questioner did; just got heaps of good ideas recently and then closed the question paying nothing; an aussie too. Further back there is even worse examples |

Dear Ef2003: One of the least-used customer options at Google Answers remains the Clarification Request. Many of the GA Researchers have discussed among ourselves how we can assist customers to easily understand that if they are displeased with their answer, they may *request clarification* of the answer *before* rating and closing a question. We always want to please the customer, fully meet their needs and exceed their expectations. Many of us will include a statement like "should you need clarification on anything I've provided, please ask and I'll be happy to explain." Even when text such as that is added in a Researcher's answer, a customer still sometimes misses that very valuable option. It's a harried and hurried world we live in and sometimes total awareness gets mislaid during the rush. Along with the Clarification option, the comments section is open for use to customers for conversation with other Researchers and with other customers. Sometimes one customer will greatly assist another. You'll know Researchers by their screen names appearing in blue - a live link. This is also a great customer option because a Researcher's past answers may be reviewed. Although GA Researchers do not work for Google, we are independent contractors who work with Google Answers in striving to assure that customers receive the value they expect. We really do aim to please and I wish you success with future questions. :) |

Well, I thought my suggestion of 'Beachcomber' was inspired. And it was absolutely free! Also, you only need one inspirational name and you are in business. The next time I am in Wagga Wagga (or wherever), I am looking forward to enjoying a few gallons of the amber liquid at ... Beachcomber. Cheers! |

Greetings, ef2003! You say "it is clear that it was done in hast, in a lets-get-it-out-of-the-way manner. No innovation is evident in coming up with 'smart' names or in coming up with web links of real value." I guess that I think that the Answer you received was well done, and I'm curious as to why you say that it was done hastily, and that there is no innovation present. What would the Answer have needed to contain for you to **not** consider it hasty? What would you have expected to see in the Answer that would make you consider it innovative? The answers to these questions will make a great deal of difference in how well Researchers can assist you with this Question. Regards, aceresearcher |
