Having doubled their share between 1996 and 1999, whitening
toothpastes have grown to account for 29% of category sales, according

second, with a 22% share, followed by multi-benefit toothpastes at

Colgate and Crest toothpaste dollar sales, unit sales and market share

Colgate had sales of $551.5 million in the toothpaste category for
the period, giving it a 32.5 percent share of the U.S. market. By
