Question ID: 196194
Where can I buy on the internet, a battery for a Weston photo
light-meter model 348? The Meter is from the 1960-1970 period and uses
a Mercury battery model Duracell PX14 2MR9 2,7V which is no longer
available in most shops.

Is there a replacement battery for this earlier Duracell PX14 that can
be used?

Hi willdk,

I have located a source where you can purchase PX14 2MR9 2,7V
batteries. However it is no longer available in mercury chemistry, but
found in alkaline as a replacement.
The manufacturer is Toshiba instead of Duracell.

The battery can be purchased at the following site:

Battery Power Online

The price of this battery is $10.95

The following site may be of interest to you too.
It is also mentioned that the PK14 is discontinued and replaces the
PX14 battery with a PX14A 3v alkaline battery. The price of that
particular battery is $5.99
