I would like you to come up with a Brand... a catchy name, & catchline/phrase (eg. Nike - Just Do It!) for a new business I am starting. We will provide, design & install a synthetic grass for Golf Greens & complex, that will "hold" a ball from 180 yards (quite unique), we also offer product for tees, tennis courts, bowling greens, baseball, etc. We are situated on the Bellarine Peninsula, Victoria, Australia, we hope to offer Golf hole design & build for peoples 'backyards' from a small surburban putting green to 5 acres with a multi tee golf hole with bunkers, etc. We want to relay a sense on 'old style, traditional links courses', to entrust us to complete your project with integrity & a sense of pride. | |

This type of question has been asked many times and more often than not researchers who spend time on these requests end up getting stiffed when the question expires and no decision is made. In spite of our past experiences with these I'm going to go out on a limb here and try it one more time just to see if anything positive results from it. Here are some names and catchy phrases for your consideration: GREENSCAPE Designer sports or "Sports by design" HORIZONS As far as the eye can see or simply "There's no end" TERRA BLADE Feel the edge "Living on the edge" or "Playing on the edge" TURFECT Always right Hope to hear back from you soon. The reason for researchers getting "stiffed" is probably because the response wasn't satisfactory to the customer. I think its better that the question expires rather than having to go through the hassle of getting a refund on an unsatisfactory answer. For tutuzdad's suggestions, I'm not 100% sure but I think they violate some existing trademarks. Something to watch out for.. |

If you were an actual researcher you would know that you are incorrect on two counts. First, being "stiffed" is when a customer intentionally allows (or makes) a question expire without offering a reason why or expressing his satisfaction/dissatisfaction with the service. He/she simply leaves with the suggestions. Secondly, if you have evidence that any of these names or phrases are trademarked feel free to present it. Otherwise assume they are not, as I did. tutuzdad-ga |

Linksman, As another Aussie good luck with your question but remember that the last questioner who got masses of info back for nothing and then closed question as virtually all other such questioners have done with identical "Find me a business name" question was yet another Aussie!! (i,e lawn cutting busines question). Pretty soon the very good people who make up the bulk of researchers will start getting the wrong idea about us people down south, namely that we are mean and cheap. The other commenters are wrong in part; most of the business name questions that were closed had enough info of very high quality and obviously lots of thought and research put into them that they would have done a professional consulannt proud and cost heaps in the process. Thee questioners were just mean-spirited people out to cheat the system for no cost. |

I looked into some of the trademark aspects regarding my suggestions and found that the domain www.turfect.com is taken and it does indeed belong to a landscape company, thus ruling that suggestion out. tutuzdad-ga |

Dear all, researchers, I am not out to scam (scame - farzin-ga - you need to spell correctly considering the Question asked) - I take offence & can assure you all there that I will pay, Aussies are not cheap skates - but they also know the value of a dollar (johninmelbourne). If you all have a look at the responses to my Questions, do you really think they have been answered? Some of these replies I can get of my mates sitting at the pub with a couple of beers. It was a very serious Question seeking serious replies - and I will pay - but I am also waiting to see if any furhter 'enlightened' answers appear - ... or maybe I am expecting too much for my $50 and the GA system. At this Stage j_philipp-ga looks good & also presented in the best format. this researcher has obviously put some thought into it & we are quite like 3 of the catchlines provided by this GA researcher I will pay! Regards Linksman |

Greetings Linksman: Duffers Green came to my mind immediately but the name has been registered as a web site. Then I thought of EcoGreen but that turns out to be a plant food name. EnviroTurf is also a name being used for manufactured grass. EnviroLinks is also being used. EnviroGreens is an existing company as well. EnviroDuff is a bit of a stretch. lol Hmmm, this is an interesting mental challenge. Faux Fairways? Pi High Greens? I'll be thinking about this question for a while. :) Best regards, journalist-ga |
