Hello marvelous-ga,

I should emphasize the disclaimer at the bottom of this page, which
states that answers and comments on Google Answers are general
information, and not intended to substitute for informed professional
legal advice. If you need legal advice, you should consult an
attorney licensed to practice law in Florida.

The Florida Division of Workers' Compensation, at the top of its
Employers FAQ, states:

Q: Who needs Workers' Compensation coverage?

A:

If you are in an industry, other than construction, and have four (4)
or more employees, full-time or part-time, you are required to carry
workers' compensation coverage (an exempted corporate officer does not
count as an employee).
