Hello, and thanks for your question

One of your best sources of information is the Hong Kong Association
of Northern California. You can visit their website at:

http://www.hkanc.com/index.html

The site includes a list of their major corporate members, including
such firms as:

APEX Maritime Co., Inc.

Bank of America

Besphil & Co. (US) Ltd.

BoldFocus, Inc.

Citibank - Private Bank

Cobra Solutions

Direction 21

Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe

International Sources

MTC Trading Company

Merrill Lynch International

Montclair Hills, Inc.

Montgomery Lands Inc.

Pacific Century CyberWorks

PKF Consulting

Reliance Technical Services

Strategic Planning Associates

Tai Seng Video Marketing Inc.

Tiempo Interiors

United Commercial Bank

Waterfront Container Leasing Co., Inc.

The Zeka Group, Inc. ...

...and many others.

The site also includes information about membership in the
organization, which you may want to consider, at it seems to provide
numerous high-level networking opportunities.

HKANC sponsors the usual grab-bag of lunches, conferences, and other
networking events. Their site includes highlights from past events,
including such forums as:

Success and Changing Times - Sybase's transition: Changing strategy to
meet changing conditions
John S. Chen, Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and
President of Sybase, Inc.

“A Technology Christmas Carol”
Professor Eugene Wong, Chairman, Council of Advisors on Innovation and
Technology, Hong Kong
(Co-sponsored by HKETO)

You might also want to have a look at the group's directors and
advisory board members, which can be found here:

www.hkanc.com/directors/list.html

-------------------------------

There's also an interesting list of companies -- a number of which are
technology companies in the SF area -- at this site:

business.sina.com/2002/index_bak.html

of a conference held in San Francisco area last year, aimed at doing
business in China .

I hope this is the type of information you were looking for, and that
it meets your needs. But if you find anything here requires

Thank you for your prompt response to my request; however, I am unable
to access "business.sina.com/2002/index_bak.html" for the "intresting
list of companies" Perhaps you can provide me with another address or
more informatin for me to investigate.

Thanks,

Leslie

Hmmm...the site opens right up for me, so I'm not sure what the
problem is.

However, here's a few options:

Try the link again with the full http address:

http://business.sina.com/2002/index_bak.html

If that doesn't work, here's the Google cache of the page, which also
contains the list:

http://216.239.51.100/search?sourceid=navclient&q=cache:http%3A%2F%2Fbusiness.sina.com%2F2002%2Findex_bak.html

If neither of these work out, for some reason, just let me know, and
we'll find some other solution.

And as I said before, if this answer doesn't meet with your
satisfaction for any reason, just let me know what additional
information you need, and I'll do my best to find it for you.
