Hello sliderincider,

Thank you for your question.

Ahhhh, Soupy Sales. I actually recalled this - Pafalafaka! They
whisper it all over Turkey...

Surprisingly, there is little on this on the Internet. One person
thought it was the flip side of "The Mouse".

Google Groups was more helpful. It lead me to the right spelling :)

Pachalafaka
http://home.nc.rr.com/muppetsongs/songs/pachalafaka

Pachalafaka, pachalafaka
they whisper it all over Turkey
pachalafaka, pachalafaka
it sounds so romantic and perky
oh I know that phrase
will make me thrill always
for it reminds me of you, my sweet
just the mention of
that tender word of love
gives my heart a jerkish Turkish beat

I won't say c'est bon
or l'amour toujours
for they can't express what I'm feeling
even maresydoats or
other foreign quotes
don't seem to be quite so appealing
but pachalafaka! pachalafaka!
takes me back with you to passionate desert scenes
and it's there we'll stay
till the very day
we find out what pachalafaka means
we find out what pachalafaka means!

Very fast in locating a song title that I could only spell
phonetically! Excellent response!

I can't resist adding a comment here, because my Google Answer
researcher name was taken in honor of Mr. Sales' ineffable humor, even
though I, too, did not know the correct spelling for his song (also
recorded by The Muppets, by the way).

Cheers to all, especially you, Soupy. Where ever you are!
