I heard somewhere recently that one American woman lives with 11 cats and 3 dogs. I find this very hard to believe. Prove it. | |

I am indeed a crackpot old woman who lives with a houseful of nutty pets (and one wacky husband). The links below will take you to photographic evidence of the full catastrophe. And the dogastrophe, too: Elvis Pussley http://www.mortalwombat.com/Special/Pets/Elvis_in_Cabinet.jpg Nermal http://www.mortalwombat.com/Special/Pets/Nermal_in_Bag.jpg Shadow http://www.mortalwombat.com/Special/Pets/Shadow.jpg PittyPat http://www.mortalwombat.com/Special/Pets/MissPittyPat.jpg Tuvix http://www.mortalwombat.com/Special/Pets/Tuvix.jpg Pearl http://www.mortalwombat.com/Special/Pets/Pearl.jpg Felix http://www.mortalwombat.com/Special/Pets/Felix.jpg Zimmie, Brownie, and Sloopy http://www.mortalwombat.com/Special/Pets/Zimmie_Brownie_Sloopy.jpg Fozzie Bear, Bambi, and Alfie http://www.mortalwombat.com/Special/Pets/FozzieBear_Bambi_Alfie.jpg You may notice that the count is ten cats, three dogs. We lost a beloved little pussycat recently. Skunkie Doodle died in May of congestive heart failure at the age of sixteen. For more about Skunkie, see this GA answer: http://answers.google.com/answers/main?cmd=threadview&id=199074 My husband and I are volunteers with a pet adoption organization that helps to find new homes for needy animals. Our pets are all "rescued" creatures. We did not buy them at a pet shop. We took them in after someone had thrown them away. I've heard people say things like "Why bother? You can't rescue all the homeless animals in the world. What you're doing doesn't really make a difference." Look at the photos linked above. It really made a difference to each of them. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to share my critters! As you can tell, I love them very much, and they love me. And if that amount of love makes me a crazy old lady, well, I'd say that the world could use more crazy old ladies. ;-) ~Pink |

An update... Since I last gave a report on the feline population chez Pink, the household has acquired another cat. We named her Cyndi Yawper, in honor of a certain screechy-voiced singer with multicolored hair. A pic of the little charmer: http://www.mortalwombat.com/Image/Cyndi_computer.jpg |

Many thanks, Pinky, She's gorgeous! When Daisy saw her she started licking her lips. When you say 'acquired', I assume you to mean that she acquired you? When I am down and out, I will come a-mewing at your door. I have got an interesting question that I will be throwing at you shortly. All the Very Best Bryan |
