What do I have to do to fix WMI in XP Pro? The resolution in 319101 - Error Message: Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Might Be Corrupted (deleting and re-creating the files in the Repository folder) did not work. I tried it several times. The error messages I get are: 1) in Network Connections / Properties / Properties / Advanced: "Windows cannot display the properties of this connection. WMI might be corrupted." 2) in WMI Properties / Dependencies: "Win32: Invalid access to memory location" 3) in WMI Driver Extensions: the same as 2) 4) in WMI Control (Local) Properties: "Failed to connect to <local computer> because "Win32: Invalid access to memory location." Can somebody help? -Marika |

Hi You may try the auto repair function on the XP console or re-load XP. The second option is simpler, I know! Just back up your data. If you need info on how to do this, do let me know. I am assuming you are able to boot up normally and get to the desktop and 'My Computer'. - vinods-ga |
