How do i find out the ownership history of a specific domain name,
such as and Meaning the past
whois information for these domain names.
There is no answer at this time.

Hello again.

At is a wonderful tool called the Wayback Machine,
which can take you to archived websites of years past.  For instance,
the archived pages for can be found here:*/

where you will find five archived versions of the page from August 17,
2000 through to March 31, 2001.


The popular whois searches have recently been augmented by a new
"whowas: service that can search past records. The service is run by
Dialog.  You can find a detailed description of the service at:

(near the bottom of the page) and a direct link to Dialog's page at:

From experience, I can tell you that Dialog is generally not the
easiest system to use.  I haven't used "whowas" myself, so I[m afraid
I can't walk you through any detailed steps on this.
