Question ID: 250831
Need the following ASAP for academic research purposes (US Business
School - Google can contact me to verify that the info will not be
used for spam and to verify our affiliation with a major research
university -- info needed to email survey questionnaires to selected
- Approx. 150 email addresses of companies oparating in Poland that
are at least 51% owned by non-Polish investors (email address must be
to the operation/subsidiary located in Poland)
- Strong preference: direct email address to an individual at that
company (the more individuals, the better)
- If multiple email addresses are available, please forward company's
Web site address.
- Industry: any
- Location in Poland: any
- Company size: any
- Answers and sources may be in either English or Polish
- Info can be provided in a form of hyperlinks to relevant sources
- Deadline for answer: ASAP but not later than Sep. 15

Will tip generously for the following:
- Accuracy of response
- The larger the number of "contacts" or useful links, the better (we
need to receive responses to our questionnaire from at least 100
companies -- therefore, 500 contact info would allow us to ensure that
we receive at least 100 responses).
- Speed of the response.

Partial responses will be appreciated as well if they include at least
75 contacts. The size of the tip will increase substantially as the
number of contact emails/Web sites increases. Depending on how many
of the above criteria are met, the tip may reach $800.

Please contact me ASAP for any clarifications you may need.

Thank you in advance.

Hi jerry,
I have located an extensive list of US Companies in Poland with their
mailing addresses and phone numbers.
Please let me know if this is the sort of information you are seeking,
so I can continue my research into finding, websites, email
addresses, etc for these companies.

Clarification of Question by jerry555-ga on 02 Sep 2003 19:02 PDT

Sounds like you're on the right track.

Preferably, the sample of companies would not be limited to US
companies. I'd find it considerably more beneficial if companies came
from several countries. It would allow me to run comparisons between
companies from different countries.

For example, if you could locate 500 hundred companies with 300 US
companies, 100 from a second country, 100 hundred and 50 a piece from
2 more countries, the info would be of considerably more use to me.
These numbers are arbitrary but they give you a better idea of what
I'm looking for.

To reiterate, the MORE companies you can identify (with contact info
such as Web sites, email addresses, names of some executives, etc.)
from MULTIPLE countries, the more useful the info will be to me.

Mailing addresses and phone numbers are of no use to me because the
research questionnaire will be administered by email and I already
have an extensive list of companies (US and non-US) that operate in

Company names, addresses and phone numbers are easy to locate - via my
access to propriety databases available to me at the university I can
locate this info in a couple of hours.

What is time consuming is to locate ACCURATE Web Sites and/or email
addresses of the the POLISH branches/subsidiaries of non-Polish

To reiterate, Web sites or email addresses MUST be of their
operations/facilities in POLAND. For example, IKEA of Sweden or ING
bank of the Netherlands have operations in Poland. I cannot use their
Web sites or emails in Sweden or the Netherlands. I need this info
for their operations in Poland. This info is readily available, but I
simply don't have time to do it.

My tip may exceed $800 if the quality of info is high, number of
companies is large (e.g., if you provide me with 1000 accurate contact
info the tip will be CONSIDERABLY higher than if I get 150 contact
info, and multiple number of countries of origin.

My budget is UNLIMITED and I am a sole decisio maker when it comes to
the amount of money I spend on this project. The tip amount will
reflect the amount of effort that has gone into this research effort
on your part which will be reflected in the results of your research.
If you can exceed my expectations, I can exceed your expectations
regarding the tip.

I can assure you that I will be generous.

Please don't hesitate to contact me for further clarifications.

Thank you,

Hi jerry,

I have located a database which displays all companies found in
Poland. When I entered 'International (foreign) ownership', over 2000
companies were displayed. Skimming through some of them, I noticed
some do not have email addresses nor websites (only adresses and phone
numbers). Another exclusion is the country of ownership.

The following is an example of what the listing would look like (after
editing and removing non-essential information):

Company name : AMATEC Polska Sp. z o.o.
Short name :
Address : Switezianki 12
City : Lodz
Zip code : 91-496
Contact persons : dyr. nacz. Jacek J. Mirowski
                     dyr. ds. sprzed. Krzysztof Rolski
                     asyst. zarz. Marzena Zyznowska
                     serwisant Dariusz Ignaczak
Phone(s) : (42)6589422 6589423
Fax(es) : (42)6589699
Email :
WWW :
NACE : 51.63 Wholesale of machinery for the textile
industry, and of sewing and knitting
SIC : 508402 Textile & Leather Machinery, Wholesale

Let me know if you would be interested in something like this.

Hi Rainbow,
This looks VERY good.

At this point I would be very happy to receive info in the exact
format you listed.

If you could provide me with the entire list of companies you
identified (over 2000), even if they lack some of the info I'm looking
for (such as email address, Web site, etc.), I would be VERY happy.
In some cases, fax number and phone number would suffice -- I could
contact the companies directly to get this info.

I would not worry about identifying country of ownership. As long as
the database is not limited to US companies with operations in Poland,
I'd be happy with your list.

In sum, if you could provide me with ALL 2000+ company profiles, it
would complete your assignment to may satisfaction.

I am looking forward to receiving the material and thank you in
advance. I think I'll be very happy with the results of your

Please contact me if you need any further clarification (e.g.,
computer format in which the info would be forwarded to me).

With such a large sample of companies, I would not worry about
incomplete info -- the large size of the list would give me a lot of
flexibility in selecting companies to use in my research.

If you could send me info on all the 2000+ companies, I would be
generous in compensating you for your work.

Once again, let's clarify the computer format in which the info could
be sent to me (and clarify any other questions/concerns you may have).

Thank you very much,

Hi Jerry,

I'm very pleased the information I have found is to your satisfaction.

While compiling this data, I noticed foreign embassies are included.
Would you like me to extract those from the list?

I believe the best format would be in word document with the companies
listed as I have shown you in my previous clarification. I will
arrange to compile around 250 companies per document.

I will then upload these documents to a site on the web and give you
the url. You can download them and save them to your hard drive.

Let me know if this method suits you. Thanks.

Best regards,

Sounds like a good plan:
- please include Embassies
- Word format is fine

All of your other suggestions make sense, too. As far as I am
concerned, this will wrap up the project.

If you don't mind, to save me some time, could you direct me to the
instructions on sending a "tip" your way (I'd rather call it "fair
compensation for service provided" -- this is not a restaurant :-).

Thanks in advance and I am looking forward to seeing the results of
your research.

Hi Jerry,

Thanks for your clarification.

I'll get to work on this right away. I've estimated this research will
take about 4-5 days to complete...less if I don't sleep :)

Your question regarding tipping or "fair compensation for service
provided" (you're right, that does sound better) is explained here:

"How do I tip my Researcher?
When you rate your answer, you can also tip the researcher who
provided it. Just enter an amount between $1 - $100 in the tip box
next to the rating. The researcher will receive 100% of the amount you
tip them; Google will not take a percentage of the tip. Tips are not
refundable. Thank you for tipping your researcher! They appreciate

Since the highest "tip" you can offer is $100, the only way to tip
more is to direct more questions to your researcher and tip as much as
you like. You can do this as many times as you wish until you are
satisfied with the amount the researcher has received. Most customers
direct a simple $2.00 question and tip more (researchers receive 100%
of the tip and 75% on an answer).

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask me.

Best regards,

Clarification of Question by jerry555-ga on 04 Sep 2003 05:56 PDT
OK, let's wrap this project up.

Plese take your time completing it -- I'd rather you get plenty of
sleep :-) Several days doesn't make a difference to me. I'd rather
get a better product than have you rush -- if you can use extra
several days, please do.

Another question that will save me time: I will defnitely ask you
several $2 questions as a follow-up to this question to ensure that
you're properly compensated. My question is: how do I ensure that I
can direct questions to the researcher of my choosing (i.e., you)?
Furthermore, I have an ongoing need for "major" projects of the
magnitude comparable to this one. If I am happy with your performance
on this project, I'd like to send more work your way.

As you can tell, this is the first time I'm using this service, and if
it the quality of service/product is satisfactory, I will continue
using it.

Thanks in advance for your help and I hope I'll be able to keep you
busy with multiple projects in the future.

Please let me know if you need any further clarifications or if you
happen to come across any other source of material that may be
relevant to this project. However, at this point, please feel free to
wrap up this project -- if you could provide me with a list of over
2000 companies, I'd be more than happy.

I can always ask you for some additional research down the road to
fill in some gaps; but, those would be brand-new projects. For now,
the info I'd be receiving is all I need and I am very happy about the
large number of companies you managed to identify as well as the
extent of info on each company (e.g., industrial classification, SIC
codes, etc.).

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Jerry,

To direct questions to a particular researcher, just put in the
Subject line: For <name of researcher>. The resarchers here respect it
when certain questions are directed to others. No one but the
researcher you ask for will answer your questions when directed that
I hope that helps.

Let me know if there is anything further you need.

Hi Jerry,

Firstly, I would like to apologize for the delay in answering your
question due to internet access problems I’ve been having.

The following is the result of my research for foreign companies
located in Poland.

The list below is 10 word documents which you can download and save to
your hard drive. Each document contains 250 companies and their
available contact information. File number 10 contains 281, for a
total of 2531 companies. You may find duplicate company listings in
the documents. The reason I believe for this is the different branches
of a certain company; the most prominent one being Citibank.

Please let me know when you have downloaded the documents so I can
have my colleague and good friend missy-ga, who assisted me in the
uploading of these documents, remove them from her server.

If a password authentication window pop ups just exit the window.
Depending on the speed of your internet, it may take a little time to
open the documents. If you have any problems downloading these files,
please let me know.

The following is a list of companies and contact information that was
offered to me by my colleague pafalafa-ga. Thank you paf.
