I don't think you can download it for free. It is for sale at:

Cry Freetown
http://www.cryfreetown.org/

You can see a portion of it at:

"Cry Freetown: 'Now you may judge for yourself'"
CNN.com
http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2000/cryfreetown/documentary/index.html

If this information is sufficient, I would be happy to post it as an answer.

Hello,

I really need to know if there are any free downloads or free bootlegs
for this documentary. The reason being is that this is for a thesis in
peacekeeping and UN operations, and This documentary being one of the
main reasons awareness was increased for the situation in Sierra Leone
needs to be accounted for. A very important aspect in gathering UN
involvement is the promotion of the current happenings. And by knowing
if the documentary has spread along the internet I can have a vague
Idea of how many people in this our western World have a clue of the
impact of the diamond trade, and not only the info found in mainstream
media.
Thank You for your help

It is virtually impossible to say that a free download does not exist
anywhere on the Internet. However, several of GA's best Researchers
(plus myself) have not been able to find a free download of this film.
That may be a reasonable indication that this documentary, in its
entirety, has not "spread along the internet" in any appreciable way.
