Hello and thank you for your question.

The department you'll want to familiarize yourself with is
Office of Teacher Licensing
http://www.state.tn.us/education/lic_home.htm

As that site explains, "[i]n order to earn a Tennessee teacher
license, one must complete a teacher preparation program through an
accredited college/university and hold a minimum of a bachelor's
degree. The teacher preparation program must include all required
professional education courses, student teaching and/or internship,
and passing all appropriate portions of the Praxis Series Exam. The
actual number of courses will vary with each college/university. Once
all requirements have been completed, the college/university can
submit the paperwork to the Tennessee Office of Teacher Licensing to
recommend the individual for a Tennessee teacher license."

If you have taught in another state, you will be applying for "[a]n
Out-of-State Teacher License ... issued to an applicant who meets
requirements for a full initial Tennessee teacher license and has at
least one year of acceptable teaching experience in another state. The
Out-of-State License is valid for five years and is equivalent to an
Apprentice License. Upon completion of a minimum of three years of
teaching (a combination of in-state/out-of-state experience, with the
last year in Tennessee) and receipt of a positive local evaluation,
the license holder will advance to the Professional License."

The forms you'll need to submit look like

If you are not licensed in another state, there is waiver process that
might allow you to work in a school that cannot find a licensed
teacher for the position.

As to community college teaching, there is no specific licensing
requirement. If you have the appropriate background, the college can
hire you. For example:
