Dear twistyrider,

According to a 1979 survey by Bentley College's Center for Business Ethics,
almost 75 percent of Fortune 500 companies had written ethics codes, so it
would be safe to assume that the majority of Fortune 500 companies do have a
written policy, although I don't know if those policies deal explicitly with
marketing ethics.
http://ecampus.bentley.edu/dept/cbe/20year/cbe20004.htm

As you can see by the comments, some of the Fortune 500 companies have their
policies online. I've listed a few more below. The American Marketing
Association (AMA) is constructing a series of company profiles that might also
be useful for finding ethics policies online; but that section isn't live yet.
Here's where you can find the AMA ethics policy that all of its members are
expected to follow:
http://www.iaw.on.ca/trimedia/ama.html
(To get to that policy on the AMA site, type "AMA Code of Ethics" in the search
box.)

To get to AMA company profiles section, click on this link:
http://www.marketingpower.com/index.php?
&Session_ID=22e1e3f6540c6141cec662816b520143
then click on "Business" and then click on "Company Profiles"

If you're looking for paper copies, the resource that I found online that might
be the most helpful is the Ethics Officer Association (EOA). The organization
limits its membership to "qualified professional business ethics practitioners"
and membership is $650 a year for individuals. In addition, more than half of
the Fortune 100 companies are members. According to its website, the EOA also
maintains a library that contains codes of conducts for many of its member
companies. Access to the library is free with a membership.
http://www.eoa.org/

I started with the top 10 companies from Business Ethics magazine's 100 Best
Corporate Citizens list and cross-referenced it with the most recent Fortune
500 list to find this sample of companies with online ethics policies. (I've
also included the links that others have listed below.)
