Where can I buy a burqua (burka)like the ones the women wear in Afganistan--the
blue one? I want one that goes from head to toe. I don't want one like they
wear in the Middle East (e. g. Palestine,
Saudi Arabia)

Would you like to buy one from a store near your home or would you like to buy
one online?

The “burqa” (also spelled burqua, burka, burcka) has been a recent
controversial topic in world news. Islamic women in Afghanistan were required
to wear the head-to-toe shroud under the 1996 Taliban fatwa (or decree).

Burqas come in many different styles (lengths and colors) and materials
(georgette, cotton, polyester) but all share the common goal to cover all but
the eyes of the face. Inside, a mesh-like embroidery drapes the face.

There are a number of online stores that will accommodate your request. If you
order one from outside the United States, be sure to use a credit card. If the
shipment gets lost, your credit card (depending on their policy) might cover
the costs.

As mgriffiths has stated (See comments below) Muttaquan Bookstore has full-
length burqas for sale, ranging in size (5’0-6’0), color (black, cream, brown,
green), and price ($80-$90).

Alsundus.com has only full-length burqas in black, green, and cream and are
cheaper in price ($48.99-$50.00).

AlSundus.com
http://www.alsundus.com/

Alhediya.com only has the short-length veil that covers the face in black for
$10.

Please let me know if you want to purchase these online or from a store
location near you. I couldn’t find any blue burqas online. Depending on your
location, however, I can do more research for a store specializing in Islamic
clothing near you.

Please clarify; as you can see here,
http://www.worldatlas.com/webimage/countrys/me.htm
Afghanistan is considered part of the Middle East.

Meanwhile, I'll toss this in if it helps:

Surely the answer that came back from researcher was as comprehensive a reply
as one could reasonably expect from any source and deserved the $25.00 for
sure. I dont think anyone in my country, Australia, would have any idea where
to find a burqua.

Congrats to researcher, you are a credit to your new profession.
