I am trying to locate a print/poster for a friend of mine, but I don't
know the artist/title. Does this sound familiar to anyone:

The poster is black and white, it is a photograph of a woman (possibly
nude) holding a white feather in front of her face.

It is likely a photograph related to fashion design, possibly by/for
Helmut Lang.

My friend used to have a copy, she purchased it from the Metropolitan
Museum of Art (New York) about 5-7 years ago.

A complete answer will include a link to a picture of the poster (or a
method to obtain one), as well information on how I may purchase it.

Well, I gave it my best shot, but to no avail.

Here's the only lead I can give you. It sounds to me like an Irving
Penn photograph.

"Penn has won renown as much in editorial photography as in

Nothing exactly like you described, but will give you an idea of the
artist's style.

The photographer you're looking for may be Ralph Gibson, who has had
work shown at the Met. A catalogue of some of his prints is here:

Nothing there exactly matches what you're looking for, but the style
may be recognizable. He's done a lot of nudes, apparently, and has
used a feather in one of his photos, so there may have been another.
