I need a way to lookup a company's name by entering their FEIN #. I
would like to know if there is a way to do this for free. It should
be available on a Governmental website, I would think, but I can't
find it.
TIA.

The IRS says that if you are not the owner, they cannot look up any
information relating to the FEIN # (not even the name of the
business). I was unable to find any free ways of doing this, although
there seemed to be sources available at the state level that might be
useful, but nothing like a database where all you need is an FEIN
number and the info comes up.

Perhaps a different researcher will be able to help you.
