Dear Joesun,

?Cornell's food science programs were ranked number one in a recent
survey conducted by Ohio State University. Chairs of food science
departments across the country were asked to identify the top five
food science departments in the country.?

The top five programs in order of rank were:

Cornell (1)

Purdue (2)

Minnesota (3)

North Carolina State (4)

Rutgers (5)

?In commenting on this ranking, Dennis Miller, chair of Food Science
noted that "reputations of academic programs are based primarily on
the quality of faculty, students, and alumni.?
