I am trying to do some research on the average cost of a carton of
cigarettes in all 50 States.  Please send me information that shows
the average cost of a carton of cigarettes per state. I need the
information to be current and also in US Dollars. I needed this

I'm happy to answer your question for you.  I quickly found exactly

The information you desire is in the 7th column from the left, called
"Retail Price Per Pack With All Taxes". I took the liberty of adding
them all up for you to give you the average as you ask.  The average
price across the 50 states is $3.81 or $3.8066 (I received this figure
by adding the prices of all 50 states and then dividing by 50).

It also provides you the tax amount per pack by state, the highest
costing state ranked through the cheapest state, etc. The above report
also references a government CDC website which has a lot of
information you may find useful:
