Hello Ships1,
Would you be looking for the hull thickness of a particular class?
DIfferent classes of destroyers can have different hull thicknesses.

FYI - Some hull thicknesses also vary from area to area on the same
type of vessel and some even have double hulls.

I am looking for the thickness of the steel used for the outer skin of
a Naval Destroyer. I know it is thin but would like to know the exact
thickness. I should think that the Naval Department would be able to
help, or the builder of ships such as the Portsmouth Va shipyard.

I realize that both questions are very similiar and am happy that we
are working on one of them let alone both. I would submit that with
the answers presented we can call this question closed.

Hello Ships1,
Whoops, I missed out "you" before "might want to close or cancel this
one", so I meant to say that you can close or cancel this question.
Thanks.
