Hi!
Could you please take each of the following gradeschool math
curriculum websites and translate the goal into an example.
For example, the second goal on the kindergarten site states:
"Identify and name penny, nickel and dime. (2.1.3.E)". The example
could be to "Give the students various coins and have the student name
them" or "Have student determine which coin is worth 5 cents when
given a penny, nickle, and dime".
Another example from the 8th grade curriculum: "Identify, name, draw,
and list all properties of various two-dimensional and
three-dimensional shapes. (2.9.8.D)". Example: "Give the student
paper with one column of shapes and one column of geometric names and
have the students determine which name belongs to which shape".
I am having difficulty determining exactly what a few of the goals
mean, so obviously I jsut used to reletively easy examples.
The websites are:

So, basically what I'm asking is for you to look at each of the
criteria in each of the websites and give an example simplifing the
criteria. I need to understand the criteria so please treat it as if
you were giving the example to the person the grade level was written
for.
Also, please follow the following format when citing the example:
K, 1:
The above would signify that you were giving an example for the
Kindergarten curriculum criteria 1 ("Divide a set of objects into
equal parts using terms whole, part, and 1/2. Use
drawings/diagrams/models to show the concept of 1/2 as part of a
whole. (2.1.3.B(D))")
Thanks a lot
