Hi,
I am looking for a program that will reverse and/or flip "all"
programs on my current computer monitor. I need to view my monitor in
a mirror and cant seem to find a program that flips and or reverses
everything. I have found teleprompting software that flips and or
reverses text that you enter, but I need it to do it to every program
that I view on my monitor.

Thanks

Jeff

I can guide you through a hardware modification that will do just
that. You will need to remove the cover to your monitor. Let me know
if you want to proceed.

Hi,

I looked at the program you posted, but it does not do the trick. It
only takes a snapshot and reverses it, once you do it, then try to
click anything or run programs it changes back... I need a program
that permanetely lets me flip side by side and run programs at the
same time.

Thanks

Jeff

As far as doing a modification on the monitor, I would rather not do
this, but will consider at a very last resort. Lets see if someone
can dig up a program to do it, and if not, I will have to consider
doing a permanent modification and let you know.

Thanks

Jeff

Chris,

Just for my clarification, can I do this on a flap panel screen, or do
you know how to do it only on the regular monitors?

Thanks

Jeff

Sherlock,

Thanks for the info, and may have to get to that, but still looking
for a software program to do this, without any upgrades to my hardware
etc. I will leave the question open to see if anyone has any "hidden"
software programs.

Thanks

Jeff

* If your video card has an option to output the screen's video signal
to a television (eg. with s-video or composite out), then a
vision/video mixer such as the Videonics MX-1 with a 'flip horizontal'
option can mirror the video in realtime for display on a TV. One
problem with this is that the resolution of a standard TV is a lot
lower than a computer monitor.
* Depending on exactly what you are trying to do, some combination of
a video mixer, video/video capture card or camcorder might be what you
need.
* If you don't require the reversing done in realtime, you could run a
program which captures the screen display constantly as you run
various programs. If one of these programs has an option to export as
an AVI file or series of BMP files, you could then take this AVI file
and do the reversing in a free program such as VirtualDub (which has a
flip horizontally filter), you could then play the AVI back and the
image will be mirrored. You can also mirror AVI files in most video
editing programs such as Premiere.
* There's another way of doing it if you have access to Delphi and 2
PCs networked together. Though it would be full resolution, it
probably wouldn't be realtime - it might update every second or so and
involves saving the screen memory within delphi and the 2nd PC
displaying it reversed.
