Hi, I got my car repaired at a body shop "Miracle Auto Painting and
Body Repair" at 410 Irwin St San Rafael,CA(phone: (415) 453-7100) a
couple of years back. And I have recently discovered they they did a
very very bad and unsafe job, and I am having to redo the whole job.
And sadly since then, the owner of that body shop(a franchisee) has
changed. And I need to trace the owner, so that I can find out who
their "Garage Keeper"(insurance) was, so that I can claim the money(a
big amount) from them. The names of the owners are : "Marla Edmiston"
and "Bob Edmiston". It will be great if you can help me locate their
contact Information( i.e their contact phone number)....

Hello san15-ga,

Sorry to hear about your body shop troubles (perhaps we can swap car
stories one day...!)...Hope things work out for the best.

As for your question, I can get you close to the Edmiston's. You'll have to
let me know if it's close enough.

Robert Edmiston still has a business listing for a Miracle Auto Paint and
Body Shop in Solano County, CA.

HOWEVER, there is no phone number listed for this business in any
records that I can find, and the mailing address given is a P.O. Box.

A search of related county records revealed that this is, indeed, the same two
Edmiston's that you are in search of -- there are serveral records that
list both Robert and Marla Edmiston on the same document.

Bottom line, I can offer you:

--A P.O. Box mailing address for the Miracle Auto Paint & Body Shop
operated by Robert Edmiston.

--A phone number for the property manager at the site of the Edmiston's
business. The manager offered to pass a message along to the Edmiston's,
but will not provide a direct phone number for them.

Please be aware that this information may result in making direct
contact with the Edminston's, but then again...it may not.

Let me know if this information would meet your needs.

Hi,

Thanks for digging out the information for me...
As I really don't know if I would be able to trace them with the info
( with PO Box, and property manager's phone number)...So I am willing
to offer $50 for your answer....if that's ok with you...

Thanks again...

S.

Hi there,

Thanks for your offer, which sounds fair to me.

You will have to change the price of the question at your end...I
cannot do it from mine. The instructions for doing it are here:

=====

http://answers.google.com/answers/help.html

Change your question price

You can change your price at anytime as long as your question is not
currently 'locked' and being answered by a Researcher. To change your
question price, go to "My Account," select "My Unanswered Questions"
and click on the question with the price you want to change. Then
click on "Change Question Parameters" to modify the price.

=====

I want you to promise one thing, however. You MUST let me know how
things work out. Once I've dug this deep into a question, curiousity
just gets the better of me.

I'll keep an eye out for the re-pricing of this question, and then
I'll post the information I have as my answer.

Best of luck.

Hello Sanjeev,

Thanks for getting back to me. Here's the information we discussed.

The contact information for the Edmiston's that I described earlier
can be seen in this excerpt from Solano County, CA recorded document
records:

http://68.15.21.151/uploads/researchers/EDMISTON.txt

IMPORTANT: Make a copy of this information, as the link that I posted
is short-lived, and the document will be deleted after a time.

Although all the information that seemed pertinent is in the link I
provided, you may want to have a look at some of the Solano County
information yourself -- you might well find some additional
information of interest to you.

The Solano County PARIS database -- Public Access Retrieval
Information System -- can be found at the website of the Recorder's
office:

http://recorderonline.solanocounty.com/

Click on the logo in the center of the page to go to the search system
itself, where you will be offered a selection of Search Types.

Select: Grantor/Grantee

and in the search box that opens up, enter the name:

Edmiston

and click on "Grantor or Grantee".

This will return some document indexes (you can't see the documents
themselves, just the record of their filing) for a number of
Edmiston's in Solano County, including some joint filings by Marla and
Robert Edmiston.

This serves as confirmation that the Edmiston's are, in fact,
operating in some fashion in Solano County, and that the Robert
Edmiston whose address appears in the link I gave you above is the
person you're looking for.

I hope this information assists you in making things right with your
car. I'll hold you to your promise to let me know what happens...I'd
like to know how things work out.

As you requested (and as is customary, all the same), I've detailed my
search methods below. Notice that I had to rely exclusively on
information sources that don't show up on conventional web
searches...sometimes not even Google can unearth everything!

I'm afraid I can't discuss the details of my work here at Google
Answers, however, as that is against the GA rules.

Let me know if you need any additional explanation or clarification
about all this.

All the best,

pafalafa-ga

search strategy:

This was a very involved search, involving several databases. A Nexis
search on [Edmiston and Miracle Auto ] at:

http://www.nexis.com/research

identified a Miracle Auto in Solano County associated with the name
Edmiston. A search of Solano County Records (as described above)
confirmed the Edmiston's were in operation there.

A further search of Solano County records CourthouseDirect.com at:

http://www.courthousedirect.com/

led to the mailing information I provided.
