Are the claims on the infamous "French Military Victories (Defeats)"
at http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/text/france.html (search "French

you could just give me a rundown of the real outcome and/or why it is
true/untrue it would be great.

They are probably true.

But France is not alone in claiming defeats as victories.

I've seen a reference somewhere that, after WW1, EVERY country
involved claimed to have been on the winning side.

Well, there's no mileage in trumpeting a defeat, is there?
