I have spyware that prevents me from accessing Google subjects - How do I get rid of these pop-ups? I've tried to run Ad-Aware, but whenever I try to enter I get a pop-up that says "time clock" or "tramadol" or a host of other topics. What can I do - the internet is worthless to me if I can't open any categories. |

Try SpyBot. It's a great free program with with search for and remove spyware/adward. You can download it from http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd. It's also recommended by Kim Komando (she hosts a radio show about computers on National Public Radio; www.komando.com). Hope that helps. |

Hello, I work at a college helpdesk. Your best bet is to download a combination of programs. The two best utilities that we have found and run on every computer is spybot, and adaware. These are both available for FREE from www.download.com or you can locate them in a GOOGLE search :) MAKE SURE! You run the updates. You will notice that each program has a button to update to the latest definitions. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT as new spy/ad ware appears every day. |

Close out all programs and go to task manager (CTL Alt Delete) and click on the Processes tab. Look to see if you have any suspicious executibles that have CPU activity. If you do select it and choose end process. than try to run or download Ad-aware. |

Spyware X-terminator was a useful help to my computer spyware & popup problems. Although no spyware program can gurantee to rid of every potential threat and ad, Spyware x-terminator did a fantastic job as compared to the free Microsoft and Lavasoft products. Try it out and compare at www.stompsoft.com or www.download.com |
