Snugharbor --

Both Reuters and the Wall Street Journal have bureaus everywhere (and
the Journal has several regional and international editions). Two
suggestions: material should be sent to and PERSONAL contact be made
with a reporter nearest your headquarters or base of operations.
Second, you may want to consider using the PR Newswire or Business
Wire for general release, particularly if you think that the product
is interesting enough to catch the eye of these two news outlets.

One final note, Walter Mossberg is the noted Technology Columnist for
the Wall Street Journal. The last that I talked with him he was based
in their Washington, DC bureau.

Best regards,

Omnivorous-GA

We are located in NY. The optimal journalist would be associated with
advertising or offbeat news. We require some specifics ie. name and
e-mail

snugharbor,

I've been doing some digging around, and I think I have your answer,
but I wanted to talk with you first. I spoke with Reuters, and I have
a name and address to mail the press kit too. I also have a phone #
and an extension. However, I DO NOT have an email address, as I was
told that Reuters prefers all submissions through snail mail or fax.
However, the person I spoke with said you could mail the press kit in,
then call letting them know you had mailed it, and you would prefer to
have email contact from then on out. They could then call you back and
give you their email if they so choose.

I also spoke with the WSJ, who prefers that all press releases and
kits go to 1 specific email address, that they then sort to the right
department as they classify it. So, while I have where you need to
send it too, and a physical address as well, there is no name I can
connect to that email. After they sort it to the correct department,
it's up to the employee, if they feel it is newsworthy, to contact you
back. They said it was a policy to cut down on "junk" and harassment.
Since omnivorous was kind enough to provide a contact, that i did find
an email address for, you could also cc your email and press kit to
him as well as the general press kit email.

So, I have both places and how to correctly get your press kit to the
people who would need to see it. I just have slightly altered forms of
the information you requested. (I have names and e-mails for WSJ, I
only have name, physical address, and phone (since they prefer hard
copy of press kits) for the correct contact at Reuters) Please let me
know if you feel that would be sufficent as an answer, and if so, I
can post your answer as soon as I hear back from you.

Hi nenna-ga,

I'll accept you information as answer to my question. I'm new at this
and don't know the proper protocol for accepting an answer. Also if
your curious to the nature of the subject and why the need for a press
kit and samples to be in the hands of a reporter to effectively
evaluate our product, please view our website Wizmark.com

Snugharbor,

No worries about being new, we were all new once. Even the researchers
:) I've been here for 2 years, and still get confused sometimes :)

Anyway, here is your information.
I did a bit of calling around and prodding to get some names for you.

For Reuters
Please send press releases to:

New York News Desk
Tel: +1 646 223 6100
E-mail: editor@reuters.com

London News Desk
E-mail: editor@reuters.com

Singapore News Desk
Fax: + 65 870 3820
Tel: + 65 870 3814
E-mail: singapore.newsroom@reuters.com

Please note that we can only accept press releases in electronic
format. Press releases are considered for news reports and not passed
straight through in the manner of a press release distribution
service.

For time-sensitive material, please submit via PR Newswire or Business Wire.

Please note it is Reuters policy not to distribute individual
journalists' email addresses to the public without prior consent. To
contact one of our reporters, we ask that you send a message to
editor@reuters.com . The editorial team then passes on messages to
individuals.

However, when I called Reuters, they gave me the name of a contact to
also send a press kit too

For Mr. Howell you would send your press kit thru USPS mail.
Reuters America
Attn: Martin Howell
Three Times Square
New York NY. 10036
 1-646-223-4000

If you'd like to call, call the # I gave you, and at the menu prompt, press 1
When it askes you to spell the last name, press 469355 and it will
direct you to his personal extension.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For the WSJ, this was a little trickier. The WSJ prefers all
submission of press kits go to 1 "catch all" email address
NYWireRoom@dowjones.com
However, you can also use this alternate contact, as was mentioned in
the comments to make it to a "real" person
Walter Mossberg
Mossberg@WSJ.com

Here are some links with all of this info for you about the WSJ

And for Reuters
http://reuters.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/reuters.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_sid=K2CtaYyg&p_lva=&p_faqid=25&p_li=

Good luck with your Urinal screen. Maybe I'll be reading it about it
on GoogleNews soon. If this answer requires further explanation,
please request clarification before rating it, and I'll be happy to
look into this further.
