Note, especially to hummer-ga: I previously posted this question but
terminated it after you provided some information in a comment.
Although your comment was very helpful, I shouldn't have terminated
the question, as I still have a need for a specific answer. I am
re-posting the question as google-answers will not let me
"un-terminate" it. Thanks!! Here is the question and a clarification
from me:

Ideally, I would like a short list of about three or four of the very
best American (U.S. located and U.S. licensed) attorneys who
specialize in Bahamian (Bahamas) business contract/real estate law.
Preferably, they would be located in Florida (this is most likely
anyway). Please note: this is a real estate contract matter. I am
looking for a short list only, not a large list of attorneys such as
on the lawyer search websites. Thanks!!

My clarification to hummer-ga's previous comment:
hummer-ga,
Thanks for your research! You make a very good point, only Bahamian
firms can practice law there, and that would ordinarily be my best
choice. However, in this instance, I really would like to consult
with an American-based specialist(s) (who perhaps has an office in the
Bahamas or a close relationship with another law firm in the Bahamas)
who has enough expertise to provide good advice on this matter. Thanks
for your help!
Regards, bookshelf-ga

Greetings, bookshelf, it's nice to hear from you again.

I'll gladly have another look at the Florida/Bahamas question again,
see what I can come up with, and get back to you as soon as possible
(I wonder if I saved all of my previous work).

Until later,
hummer
p.s. Did you manage to obtain the *perfect* box?

Hi again, bookshelf,

Well, I've found a good lead for you, but it also indicates that
finding more than one attorney in Florida may not be attainable.

"All the process of documentation and closing will be handle for the
well known law offices of Mr. H. Benjamin Sands, Esq. The only
Bahamian and U.S. attorney in the state of Florida. He will provide
you with an Attorney Opinion of Title, the highest method used in the
Bahamas to obtain clear title (similar to title insurance used in the
U.S.) which will insure you (the buyer) for up to $1 million dollar in
case of wrong opinion."

Here's his contact information (I've been unable to find a website)
with a link to a map showing his location (hopefully it will format
ok):

Yellow Pages Business Search:
Sands H Benjamin Pa Attorney

I'm sorry that I could come up with only one name, and given the
statement, "The only Bahamian and U.S. attorney in the state of
Florida", I'm going to stop searching and wait to hear back from you.

hummer

Hummer-ga,
This is just fine, and exactly what I was looking for. I knew it
would be difficult to find even one. This is perfectly acceptable to
me as an answer; please claim the payment. Thanks again, and yes, I
did find the perfect box!
Best wishes, bookshelf-ga
