can i play any playstation 2 pal (UK, Europe) game in australia? e.g.
I buy a Playstation 2 game from the UK, will it work on an Australian
Playstation 2?

Dear Amphigory, 

"PlayStation technology is distributed according to three regional
zones, covering North America, Japan (which covers all of Asia) and
Europe.

Australia is included in the European region."

Which means, while you cannot play American or Asian games on your
PS2, you can most certainly play European games.
