If possible forward this to czh-ga. This person has been my contact.
I must tell him I came up against two dead ends from info provided but
now would like to try to locate a viewable copy of the motion picture
that was made of Peter Tompkin's book, The Secret Life of Plants after
the same name. It was originally made by Infinite Enterprises Film and
distributed by Paramount Pictures. I have done some searches but no
luck so far. Thanks WJS

Hello kukul-ga,

Thank you for asking for me. I'm sorry your search has been so
frustrating. I'll see what I can do about locating the film. Please
let me know any additional information that might be helpful for the
search.

The Secret Life of Plants was supposedly made in 1978 or 1979. I did a
partial search through IMBD. I was told by someone at Paramount
Pictures that IMDB has a data base that shows every copyrighted film
on earth. I got so far as to find out that the director was Walon
Green, but a search under his name of commercial releases did not
include Secret Life. I'm not sure where to go from here. I'm concerned
that because of the possible documentary nature of the film that it
was never transferred to VHS for commercial distribution.

Hello again kukul-ga,

I?m sorry for the delay in getting back to you. This has been another
very frustrating search. I?m afraid I haven?t come up with a ?viewable
copy? of the documentary made of The Secret Life of Plants.

I?ve been able to confirm that the documentary was made in 1978 and
was directed by Walon Green. I?ve found some reports of it being shown
subsequently. My search of the Usenet/Google Groups shows that there
are other people searching for this video. I haven?t been able to
verify that the documentary was made into a video although I did find
one fan who seems to have a copy that is worn out that he wants to
replace. ?Our tape is grainy as can be.? The soundtrack for the
documentary was by Stevie Wonder and this CD is readily available.

I?m sorry to disappoint you. Will you accept what I?ve been able to
find as an answer?
