castrox-ga:

The information you have provided appears to be for a Linak control
box (the 'CB' in the model), from the CB9 series. Can you provide a
greater amount of physical description? The control box may be
physically attached to a Linak actuator, which should have a separate
model number on it somewhere.

The Linak online resources do not currently describe the specific
model you have. However, it does show several handsets that are
compatible with the CB9 series, and provides a contact form where you
can ask the company directly for any support information that they can
provide for this four year old actuator/controller.

The link to their website is http://www.linak.com .

Click on Products > Controls to view the handsets.
Click on Contact (at the top of the page) to access their contact form.

Their e-mail address is info@linak.com

Please take a look at their website, especially the data sheets for
the current line of actuators and control boxes, to see if you can
recognize yours.

Apparently you have the linear actuator. Please describe it; weight,
dimentions, the linear distance it can move. How many wires, or pins
on the plug. Of what use is a linear actuator? Automatic/remote door
opener perhaps? What do you hope to get it to do? Any details may be
helpful. Neil

i'm sorry, the actuator hasnt arrived in the mail yet, otherwise these
things would have been included in the decription. i do know it will
extend 11"no, not a door opener...imbuilding a backwall for my desk
and i want to mount an LCD on it so when i press a button it willcome
up from behind the desk and rotate (along the x axis) a bit. i
realize this sounds silly and needlessly complicated, but its what ive
decided to do :] i enjoy learning about this stuff and its a great
way to go about it. if you like i can email you rouch sketches ive
made...any help in executing this would be absolutely fantastic...i
have just about any sort of tool and can get any material
milled/machined, so thats not really a problem. getting it right IS a
problem.
