What is the English translation of the (Italian?) word: kavolo Doing a search for the word "kavolo" comes up with about 1,000 sites where the word is used. Every one of these sites is in Italian. Thus, I can only assume that "kavolo" is an Italian word. Unfortunately, none of the online translation tools are able to convert it to English. |

This seems to indicate that "kavolo" is a variant of the Italian word "cavolo," meaning "cabbage": K spesso anziché "Stacco", "Un sacco", "Cavolo" e così via, si dice "Stakko", "Un sakko", "Kavolo"; il suono così è più forte e la parola è quasi più... "Kattiva"! http://www.wcw.it/glossario2.php3 |

Incidentally, "cavolo" is used as part of some Italian insults: "cavolo (vulgar) 'non me ne importa un cavolo!' I don't give a damn about it!; (vulgar) 'testa di cavolo' blockhead." http://italian.about.com/library/slang/bladultslangindexc.htm |
