Question ID: 358891

Can you tell us anything more about this...? It's not showing up in
any of the expected places.

Where did you hear of this? How recently or long ago did the
anitdumping complaint occur? Any other details would be helpful.

Thanks.

Hi:
The suit was filed June 8 or 9 I believe. I have heard of it from a
good but informal source. I need to find a formal confirmation to be
able to publicly talk about it. Noviant is a European company,
acquired by JM Huber a US corporation. Akzo is a major Chemical
company in the Netherlands. Quimica Amtex is a Mexican company. All
produce carboxy methyl cellulose (CMC). Hercules the plaintiff has its
HQ in Wilmington, DE.
Thanks for trying.

Well I'll be! You've got some good connections!

I checked a number of databases yesterday, and there was nothing there
on your query. But today, it's a different story.

Here is a direct link to a text version of the complaint filed by Hercules:

https://edis.usitc.gov/hvwebex/hvweb.dll?DisplayText&221298&hercules

but it is a very messy OCR rendering of the original letter. To get a
clean version, do the following:

--Head to the search site of the US International Trade Commission,
who is the government body that investigates antidumping complaints in
the US:

https://edis.usitc.gov/hvwebex//

--On the left hand side of the page, click on "Public Access" -- this
will take you to Electronic Document Information System (EDIS)

--On the left side of the EDIS page, click on "Search/Retrieval"

--A query page will open up. In the "Full Text..." search box near
the bottom, enter "Hercules" (without qoutes), and press "Search".

--The very first result should be a petition filed 6/9/04 by Hercules,
with the assigned number 731-2377. Click on any of the links in this
first record, and it will take you to a listing of the two documents
that were actually filed, available in both text and PDF format. As I
said earlier, the text is pretty messy. I recommend pulling up the
PDF file, but be warned, it took an extraordinarily long time (about
five minutes!) to load, so be patient.

Let me know if you need any further assistance in accessing this info.

Cheers.
