I am new to this service and I asked a question about a Far Side comic
on July 3 and it has yet to be answered.  Is the question poorly asked
or have I under valued it?  Your insight would be helpful!

Please don't think we have ignored you. Several Researchers, including
me, have given this a shot. I searched for several hours on the Web
and in several Larson collections in an attempt to find the answer to
your question, and failed to find anything useful. Tracking down a
certain cartoon isn't always easy.

I have posted some questions that never got answered.  I have even
raised the price to a significant amount and still no answer.  It is
hit or miss sometimes..

I searched online as well as my own collection, it's not going to be easy.

I can tell you the hardest part will be finding it online. Gary Larson
himself has requested that no one post his cartoons online.

I would also note at this point that researchers don't give up on
questions that get into their brain, I can tell you that if I am in a
bookstore this week I will be leafing through some Far Side
collections in search of the one you are seeking.

I too, searched our own books - here is where that particular cartoon isn't:

"Wildlife Preserves"
"The Far Side Observer"
"Beyond the Far Side"
"The Far Side"
"In Search of the Far Side"

Ask at your library to see if they have this book:

"Complete Far Side: 1980-1994"

I know basically all of the cartoons in the Far Side Gallerys 1-4 by
heart, and it's not in those....(each "gallery" contains the contents
of 3-5 "books" and has probably a few hundred cartoons in it....so
between the four galleries a good number of Larson's cartoon are
covered)

I think your question has gone unanswered because nobody can find the
answer.  The best method I've found for searching online for a "Far
Side" comic is to use the (www.amazon.com) "search inside" the book
feature.  You must have an account with amazon to do this but it is
very powerful.  I've tried every combination of words you included in
your question and even some alternate words and have been
unsuccessful.  I too have searched all the "Far Side" collections I
have and have not found the comic you ask for.  Are you positive it
was "Far Side"?  There are many similiar comic strips.

Far Side expert. Just thought a hand signed limited edition might be a
